Helping Your Staff Stay Well and Succeed at Work

For Employers

When your best people are struggling, the whole business feels it

I work with small businesses and employers to support staff with stress, anxiety, and burnout — and to help people stay in work or return confidently after absence.

Amanda Hodgson — BABCP-accredited CBT Therapist, HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist, and experienced clinical service lead with nearly 20 years across NHS, corporate, and private practice. I understand both the individual and the organisational picture.

How I can support your organisation

One-to-one CBT therapy for staff

Structured, evidence-based CBT for employees struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, imposter syndrome, or returning to work after absence. Tailored to their specific situation and workplace pressures.

Workplace recommendations and return-to-work support

Clear, practical written recommendations to help employees stay in work or return successfully after absence. Liaison with managers, HR, or Occupational Health where needed.

Manager coaching and guidance

Practical support for managers navigating conversations about mental health, supporting struggling team members, and creating a workplace environment that reduces burnout risk.

Workshops and training

Focused, evidence-based sessions on wellbeing, resilience, stress management, and workplace mental health. Designed for teams who want practical tools, not generic wellness content.

What working together looks like

01 — A free initial conversation We talk through what's going on in your organisation, what you need, and whether I'm the right fit. No obligation, no sales pitch.

02 — A tailored proposal I'll outline the support that makes sense for your situation — whether that's one-to-one sessions for a specific employee, a manager briefing, or an ongoing arrangement.

03 — Practical, confidential support Everything is handled professionally and confidentially. I can work online or in person in Newcastle, and I'll keep you appropriately informed without breaching employee confidentiality.

Common Questions

Is this suitable for small businesses?

Yes. I offer flexible, practical arrangements that work for teams of all sizes, without the cost or complexity of a large EAP contract.

What about confidentiality? Employee sessions are confidential. I can provide written workplace recommendations and communicate with HR or managers where appropriate, but only with the employee's consent.

Can you work with our existing Occupational Health provider? Yes. I'm experienced in working alongside OH providers and can liaise with them directly where this would be helpful.

Do you offer online sessions? Yes — all services are available online or in person at my Gosforth, Newcastle practice. Online works well for teams based outside the North East.

Let's talk about how I can help

If you're dealing with staff absence, burnout, or workplace stress and aren't sure where to start, the best first step is a free 15 minute conversation. No commitment — just a chance to talk it through.
