Before I started my own private practice, I spent years in high-pressure clinical leadership roles. From the outside, it looked like I had it all together. I was holding down a senior position, managing teams, hitting targets. But underneath, I was exhausted—physically and emotionally.
I pushed through, told myself to work harder, and ignored the warning signs. I held myself to impossible standards and rarely said no, even when things didn’t feel right. I thought burnout was something that happened to other people.
Eventually, I hit a turning point. I realised something had to change—and that no one was going to do it for me.
So I stepped away from the career I’d spent years building. I created a private practice based on values, not pressure. And now I help others do the same—not necessarily by leaving their jobs, but by building resilience, self-awareness, and the confidence to live and work differently.
I don’t believe you need to keep sacrificing your wellbeing to succeed. You deserve more than just coping. You deserve to thrive.
