I am a qualified and BABCP (British association of Cognitive and Behavioural therapies) accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. BABCP accreditation means that you have demonstrated that you meet the high standards of training and experience in CBT and commit to maintaining high standards of clinical practice including clinical supervision and continued professional development. 

I am a trained and experienced clinical supervisor with almost twenty years’ experience working in a variety of mental health settings.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

In the first session we will explore the problems and difficulties that you are experiencing to help me gain a comprehensive understanding of your situation allowing us to work together more effectively. Once we have identified the key areas we will collaboratively set realistic and achievable goals to provide a clear direction of our work together.

CBT is a collaborative process and your active participation is key however I am here to offer support, guidance and insight every step of the way.

As well as being a CBT Therapist I am also a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist and as such I adhere to both the BABCP standards of practice and the HCPC code of professional conduct. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation).  I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, professional indemnity insurance and am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners office) which is the UKs independent authority that oversees and enforces data protection laws and regulations.

I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy delivered both face to face and online via a secure video platform dependent on your choice. I offer face to face therapy in Gosforth (close to metro station and with onsite parking).
