ABOUT AMANDA
Someone who understands both the clinical picture and the professional pressures behind it.
I'm Amanda Hodgson, a BABCP accredited CBT Therapist and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. Before setting up Clear Minds CBT, I spent almost 20 years working across NHS, corporate, and private practice settings, including senior clinical leadership roles.
I know what it feels like to be the capable one , the person others rely on , while quietly running on empty. That experience shapes how I work. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a gently challenging approach that takes you seriously enough to be honest with you.

How We Work Together
Practical, structured support at a pace that works for you
CBT is a collaborative, evidence-based approach that helps you understand the thoughts, feelings, and behaviours keeping you stuck — and change them in a way that lasts. Sessions are focused and practical, not just talking things through.
You can access therapy face to face in Gosforth, Newcastle (close to the metro, with onsite parking) or online via secure video, whichever suits your schedule. A free consultation is available if you'd like to talk things through before committing.
